Opened to trekking in 1989, the Dolpo region is hard to match for its pristine beauty and rugged charm. Lying in the rain shadow area of the Himilaya, the landscape resembles that of the Tibetan Plateau instead of the lush green, monsoon watered hills, elsewhere in Nepal, at comparative altitudes. Pholksumdo Lake, Lower Dolpo Region Possibly the last sanctuary of Bon Po, a Shamanistic religion that pre-dates Buddhism, the home of rare Himalayan animals like the shy Snow Leopard, Tibetan Hare and the Himalayan Weasel it falls within the Shey-Phoksumdo National Park in western Nepal. Lake Phoksumdo, the Blue Lake, and the ancient monasteries in the villages aroud it are the focal point of a trip to this region. The Kanjiroba Himal provides a panoramic backdrop to complete the experience.

Day 04 : Fly from Nepalgunj to Juphal and Walk to Dunai for overnight stop

Day 05 : Dunai to Ankhe

Day 06 : Ankhe to National Park (Palam)

Day 07 : Palam to Phoksundo Lake

Day 08 : Explore Phoksundo

Day 09 : Phoksundo to Pugmo

Day 10 : Pugmo to High Camp

Day 11 : Acclimatisation at High Camp

Day 12 : High Camp to (over Kagmara-La) Base Camp

Day 13 : Base Camp to Hurikot

Day 14 : Hurikot to Chaurikot

Day 15 : Chaurikot to Sing-La

Day 16 : Sing_La to Muni Kinara

Day 17 : Muni Kinara to Nepal goan

Day 18 : Nepal goan to Jumla

Day 19 : Jumla (fly) to Nepalgunj

Day 20 : Drive from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu

Day 22 : Trip concludes in Kathmandu.

Cost included : Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu (as per itinerary, 3 star rating standard, B&B, twin share basis), airport transfers, full compliment of trekking crew, all meals while on trek (except alternative by choice), all necessary camping gear (including sleeping bag, down jacket), overland transportation, National Park Fees, trekking crew insurance,domestic air fair, emergency first aid kit.

Cost not included : Extra hotel expenses, single room supplement where requested, any personal expenses (bottled soft drinks, telephone charges, video/camera fees, etc.), domestic and international airfares, medical costs (except medical attention given by trek leader), rescue charges, tips for crew (typically around NRp100 per trekking day), airport departure tax (currently NRp1100 for international destinations), Visas and visa extension costs, lunch and evening meals while in Kathmandu (except Namaste meal on first night)
