This trek takes you beyond the main trails without being too long a trek. You will be trekking into one of the most spectacular mountain regions of the w orld, where the Sherpa culture is thriving and where you are able to view the highest peaks. From Thyangboche Monastery, you will follow little-used trails to the ridge-top campsite on the flanks of Ama Dablam, the most striking mountain in the region. Here you will enjoy spectacular views of Sagamartha that are unequalled on a trek of this duration, and considered equal to the views found on longer treks. The trek days are not long and the highest altitude gained (4800m) should not cause any altitude problems. |
