Api is the highest peak in the Yoka Pahar Section of Gurans Himal, part of the Himalayas in the extreme northwest corner of Nepal, near the borders of India and Tibet. The trekking to this region is quite untouched and remote. Fewer tourists have visited this region till now. The main magnetizes thing of this region are Beautiful peak, landscapes, cultural variety, speedy river and perfect forests. The area is extreme rural with virgin natural beauty and breathe taking scenes of Mountains like Mt. Nandadevi 7,817 m (lies in Uttar Pradesh of India), Thado Dhunga Tuppa 5,368 m, Api Himal 7,132 m, Rajamba 6,537m, Kapchuli 6,850 m also called Jethibahurani can mesmerized the tourist. We can enjoy a beautiful Kali dhunga lake within one and half an hour walk from Api base camp. The lake is considered as a holy lake of this region.


The region is also popular for its bird habitat. Agriculture is the mian occupation of this region. The cultural variety is maintained by the local community which includes Chhetries, Mahara, Bohora, Thekare, Jhakari and Lohar (iron-smith). The RAUTE, a nomad community and a particular tribe of human being in this region is still moving from one place to another place looking for food and existence. They have a view that they should not be interfere for their wild kingdom because they are the owner of the forest.
