Annapurna is a Himalayan range in north-central Nepal that includes Annapurna I at 8,091 metres (26,545 feet), thirteen more summits above 7,000 metres (22,970 feet), and 16 more peaks over 6,000 metres (19,690 ft). A 55-kilometer-long (34-mile-long) mountain runs through this portion. Annapurna I is the tenth of the fourteen eight-thousanders on the planet. It rises east of the Kali Gandaki Gorge and is separated from the Dhaulagiri mountain by the Kali Gandaki Gorge.
