Mount Everest, at 8,848 meters/29,035 feet, is the world's tallest and possibly most sought peak. Tenzing and Hillary originally climbed the south (Nepalese) side in 1953, and the dates we've picked offer the greatest weather of the year. The Nepalese side of Mount Everest is warmer and windier than the Tibetese side.
