Overview

14 Days Everest Base Camp trek is an exciting journey that lets you witness the majestic Himalayan vista and routes enriched with Sherpa Culture. You get to trek through suspension bridges while visiting the hidden Buddhist monasteries.

Everest Base Camp Trek takes you on an adventure to the foothills of Mount Everest. It lies in the Solu-Khumbu district of Sagarmatha Zone in province 1. The trekking route of EBC also goes through Sagarmatha National Park.

The 14 Days itinerary offers you immense pleasure by giving a close view of Mount Everest from several viewpoints. You also get to see other majestic peaks like Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Aba Dablam, and more.

The area of the Everest region is inhabited mainly by the Sherpa community. Other castes like Rai, Limbu, Gurung also reside here, but the majority is low. However, most of these people follow the Tibetan-influenced culture and traditions.

The trails take you to the base of Everest, but it is not the highest point. There is another destination that lies in higher elevation, and it is Kala Patthar. This viewpoint is well-known for its sunrise and panoramic vista.

You also get to enter the famous Sagarmatha National Park. The forest trails are home to different species of plants and endangered animals that can be seen during the trek.

The trek is 14 days long, so two days are held for acclimatization. At this time, you do not rest but visit the famous Everest View Hotel, Khunde hospital, Khumjung Monastery. Also, you hike to Chukung ri or Nagarjuna Peak.

This moderate-level trek begins with a thrilling flight adventure to Lukla while witnessing the jaw-dropping view of mountains, valleys, and hills. Then you start the hike by heading to Phakding for the night.

The next day, you head towards Namche Bazaar, the hub of the Everest region. You acclimatize here, so enjoy the side trips to Khumjung, Khunde, and Everest View hotel.

The following day, you head to Tengboche and later to Dingboche, where your next acclimatization is done. During your stay here, you go on hikes to nearby peaks.

After a beautiful time, you now walk to Lobuche and prepare for the trek to EBC. You head to Gorak Shep the next day and then hike to Everest Base Camp and return to Gorak Shep.

From there, you descend to Pheriche, then head to Namche, and lastly to Lukla. From Lukla, you fly back to Kathmandu, ending your 14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek.
