Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Fixed Departure for 2024/2025
Annapurna Base Camp Trek is obviously a famous trek available for worldwide trekkers visiting Nepal. The trek takes you to a large number of principal mountain peaks belonging to the western area of the Great Annapurna Himalayas. These include Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna, Fang, Annapurna 3, Gangapurna and Machhapuchhare, all of which remain arranged in a precise way within a circle of about 10 miles diameter with a deep mountain glacier covered amphitheater at its center.
Further, by starting from the glacier basin, also recognized as Annapurna Sanctuary, Modi Khola starts its way in the southern direction within a narrow gorge at about 12,000 feet deep. Later on, in the south, you will find the gorge as opening widely and form a fertile valley i.e. domain of various Gurungs. Other than this, upper and middle portions of Modi Khola provide you with the best possible and short trekking routes of Nepal.
Location of the valley justifies an easy trek into the Kali Gandaki region belonging to the west. Although, you will find great heights of various ice walls and surrounding mountain peaks, floor of the valley remains in between 12,000feet and 14,000feet to provide comfortable yet enjoyable camping spots in pleasant weather.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek during Spring Season
The spring season is one of the most favorable seasons to do the Annapurna base camp trek in Nepal. The spring season in Nepal falls during the months of (March-may). The trekkers will be able to catch a very clear view of the breathtaking Himalayas of the Annapurna region in spring season. In this season the temperature is moderate, the visibility is clear and the trekking condition is perfect. The average temperature during the day time in spring is 10°C. The blooming of colorful rhododendron flowers in sporing season makes the Annapurna trekking trail even more beautiful. Overall, you will enjoy the Annapurna base camp trekking experience in the spring season.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek during Monsoon season
The monsoon is not a preferable season to do the Annapurna base camp trek. The monsoon season in Nepal falls during the months of June-Aug. This season experiences heavy and frequent rainfalls. The temperature is high in this season but the rain makes the trekking difficult as the paths will be muddy and slippery. The day temperature during this season ranges from 10°C-20°C, while the night gets little colder. Due to the unstable weather and frequent rainfall in monsoon, there are risks of flight delay, cancelation, avalanches, etc. So, it is not much recommended to do the Annapurna base camp trek during monsoon season.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek during Autumn Season
The Autumn is the best season to do the Annapurna base camp trek in Nepal. The autumn season in Nepal falls during the months of Sept-Nov. The autumn season is considered perfect season with the clear and bright skies, sunny days, moderate temperature and clear views. The days are warm and the nights are chilly. the day time temperature ranges from 15°C-20°C. it is the perfect season to enjoy the Annapurna base camp trek.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek during Winter Season
The winter season is not much suitable for the Annapurna base camp trek in Nepal. The winter in Nepal falls during the months of Dec-Feb. It is the coldest time of the year. The temperature gets as lows as -10°C to -15°C. This season experiences extremely cold weather with heavy snowfalls. The trekking paths might be difficult because of the snow. However, if you want to do the trek in winter you would enjoy the peaceful environment and breathtaking snowcapped mountains.
Important notes for Annapurna Base Camp Trek
- Trekkers need to submit their passport copy at the booking stage.
- We suggest trekkers to pack the bags lightly as the porters can carry about 15-20 kg only.
- We suggest the trekkers not to book their international flight early as sometimes their might me flight delay or cancelation due to unpredictable weather conditions.
- The clothing for the trek should be packed according to the particular season.
- It is better for the trekkers to carry extra cash on the Annapurna trekking trail.
- For the additional services like: WIFI, hot showers, laundry, beverages, etc. you need to pay on your own.
- You should bring the travel insurance that includes the medical expenses and emergency helicopter evacuation.
- If you want to upgrade your Annapurna base camp trek by returning back to Pokhara in helicopter, you will be charged with the extra costs about $500.
