Wildlife in Nepal
Over a quarter of Nepal’s land is protected as national parks and reserves. This makes it possible for visitors to explore the wilderness and enjoy the country’s rich variety of flora and fauna.
Chitwan National Park and Bardiya National Park are two of the most famous reserves. Chitwan is regarded as one of the best-preserved conservation areas in Asia and is home to the great one-horned rhinoceros along with many other species. Bardiya, meanwhile, is well known for offering a rare chance of spotting a tiger in the wild.
Both parks have excellent safari lodges that provide comfortable accommodation and organize activities such as elephant safaris, jeep drives, boat rides, and guided nature walks with expert naturalists. Every trip is different — you may encounter a bear, a herd of deer, a flock of peacocks, langur monkeys leaping between trees, or even rhinos grazing quietly in the tall grass.
Away from the noise of city life, surrounded by greenery and the sounds of nature, the mind relaxes and peace is found in the wilderness. It is truly an experience of a lifetime.
